About Me

Welcome to Gene's Woodworking! My name is Gene Longsdon and I have lived in the Union/Washington Missouri area all my life. I married Marjorie Fees in 1973 and we have two wonderful daughters. I have always had a passion for fine woodworking such as custom made cabinetry and countertops...laminate and solid surface. I also make furniture such as bookcases, fireplace mantels, entertainment centers, desks, cedar chests, toy boxes, jewelry boxes, dressers, nightstands, benches, end tables, coffee tables, picture frames, sofa tables, gun cabinets, curio cabinets...and the list goes on and on. Like our daughter, Tracy Herron says, "If you can dream it...Dad can build it!". I use only the finest woods...such as oak, maple, cherry, walnut, hickory, ash, pecan, and many other wood types. I use all the latest in hardware technology...such as soft closing doors and drawers, waste pull-outs, pantry pull-outs, lazy susans and all other accessories.
